In 1983, Fratzis Katras took his first professional step by opening his optical store on Veriopoulou Street in Kos. A graduate of the Optics School of the Athens Technological Educational Institute, where he was among the first students to be admitted to the school, Fratzis had groundbreaking knowledge for the time. He was one of the few opticians in Greece with specialization in contact lens application, a field that helped him stand out and establish himself in the Kos market.

In 2006, the store moved to its current location at 14 Eleftheriou Venizelou, focusing on a more modern space and improved customer service. Since 2014, Fratzis Katras continued his professional journey alongside his son, Stavros Katras, also a graduate of the Athens Technological Educational Institute. The collaboration of two generations served as a bridge for the evolution of services, while always maintaining the high standards that had built customer trust.

In 2021, Fratzis Katras passed away, leaving behind a rich legacy of experience and professionalism. Today, Stavros Katras continues the family tradition with the same dedication and persistence, enriching the store's services and staying up-to-date with the latest trends in optics. With respect for the past and a vision for the future, the business remains a reference point on the island of Kos.
